bacon and batching

I love bacon. Who doesn't? I'm really into BLTs right now. If you're ADD like me, you become hyper-focused on something until you perfect it or become bored with it. You think you will always enjoy this one thing. I've done it with many different things. You might understand or you may know someone like this. I used to be ashamed of it or embarrassed by it. Now it is part of me and who I am. This TED Talk by Steven Tonti really describes ADD/ADHD to a tee. He talks about hyper-focus at 3:42 if you want to jump right to it. I'd suggest watching the entire TED. The beginning is pretty funny.

So what's the take away? I am batching this blog content just as I batched my bacon. I have a number of blog topics in draft form now so I can keep this going. This is a Timothy Ferriss 4-Hour Workweek life hack technique. Trust me it helps but I completely got sucked into his website. This post is taking me a lot longer than I wanted. ADD is alive and strong. :)

Thanks again for checking this out.

Peace.

P.S. The voicemail feature on the blog only works on a computer not on mobile devices. I did test it out and it works. It was cool to get a voicemail from myself. It was strangely motivating.

Everything Is Awesome!

Everything Is Awesome!!!

If you haven't yet, check out The Lego Movie. Some people are very sensitive about what they hear before they see a movie (Edu), so if you are afraid of spoilers, here is my alert: Spoiler alert. Here's the IMDb link for information.

It is a hilarious movie. It takes place in a world made out of Legos. A world of perfection. Everyone has a job and follows the instructions when they are building their world. Emmet, a regular, everyday normal guy, is discovered to be the most "extraordinary person" and sent on a mission to save the Lego world. What's completely hilarious is how unprepared he is for this role. There are a number of great cast members and characters who help Emmet.

So what the take away? I believe you are extraordinary. We all have it in us. There is one thing that keeps us from being extraordinary: Fear. I listen to podcasts of very successful people who most state that fear is the number one reason we don't do what we are meant to do in this world. Here's a few: fear of failure, fear of success (yes, success!), fear they won't have a job, fear they will die, fear they will be judged. I want to know what you fear. After you read this, post a comment, leave me a voicemail, or comment on Facebook. I may write about it in future posts, if you are okay with that. You don't need to be afraid of sharing. If it is something scary, it's something you should push through and conquer. Trust me, writing this terrifies me. But I know I have to do it. I am becoming a better person.

Thank you so much for reading this. I am really excited to share what is going on in my life and what I am doing to make the world a better place. Everything is awesome!

Peace.

I am going to tell my story. I am going to share my goals, my dreams, and all the ups and downs that go with it. I am not going to promise that you'll love it. I do promise that I am going to do my best. I know I am here on this earth to become something greater than myself. You are too. I really believe that God or what ever has brought us here, made no mistake. Maybe you want to do something you've never done before. I know I do. This can be a safe place where I hope you can be inspired and I can be inspired as well. I would love for you to join me on this journey. It will happen.

This is just an introduction. The beginning. Short and sweet. My next post I will talk about my past and what lead me to my present.

If you think someone else could benefit from this, please share it.

Thank you so much for reading this.

Peace.
