Inspiration from John Lee Dumas

John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur On Fire

First of all, thank you so much for reading this. I really appreciate it. I am completely open to comments, suggestions, even a voicemail (pc only). I do want to hear from you. I want to improve this blog and spread my story to as many people as possible. This will evolve. I thank you for taking time to read this.

I started this post last night while I was batching content and something very exciting has happened. If you don't know, I have become very addicted to podcasts. They have motivated to do things that I have been afraid of in the past. I have been listening to John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur On Fire for awhile and I have been blown away by this guy. John interviews successful entrepreneurs and picks their brain for their secrets to success.

This guy started a podcast with just an idea. Here's a breakdown for what happened: He would drive to work and listen to podcasts. He would workout and listen to podcasts. He would walk his dog and listen to podcasts. Most podcasters would do a show once or twice a week so he eventually ran out of content. John said, "I need more content. There must be someone else like me out there." Okay, that was paraphrased but I'm sure he'd agree. He decided to do a seven day a week podcast. Everyone said he was crazy. Well, he did it. He started back in September 2012 and has produced a podcast everyday since then. He currently has 496 podcasts under his belt and more that 300,000 monthly downloads. With affiliates and his online course on podcasting he teachers, he generated $138,606.31 in income in January 2014!

I was in contact with him over email and he asked me about what kind of podcast I'd want to do. He wrote at the end of one of his emails, "So Ken, what's YOUR idea? Hit reply and let me know!"

I thought nothing of it and thought it was a generated email. I sent him a reply and told him about my "Dumb Teacher" blog and how I wanted to turn it into a podcast. He replied later and sent me a personal voicemail message. You can listen to it here. I couldn't believe it. I have no idea how this guy does what he does but I want to know. He has agreed to allow me to be an affiliate for his "Podcaster Paradise" online course. If you want to check it out use this link or click on the ads on the side or bottom. He will definitely be a guest on my podcast once I get it started.

There is a whole new economy out on the internet. If you have something to share whether it's knowledge, a talent, a product, or a service, there are people who need it. The number of people on the internet looking to fill needs is only going to increase. Think about it. Please be open to sharing your unique gift. The world needs it. Only you can create it.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Peace.

Kenneth Allen Morris
